The reference to the Sari in the street half of the clip by the police officer is the first 'racist'. It is very dis respectful if it is seen as a joke or found funny. In other terms, it can just be seen as a mis understanding. That the police officer actually thought that she was wearing a nightie. I think that it was said as a joke and was a racist remark. The other racist comment is when he acuses the Asian of stealing the tv, or implying that he thinks he has. This is just because of the colour of his skin.
Irish people are represented in this extract. They are shown as the lower class. "only fit for shoveling shit". They were only given the jobs that the english people didn't want. Eg, being given all of the labouring jobs. When the Irishman was on screen, he looked like he had been beaten up, most likely by the police which is something that happened quite often.
The main reference to a woman is the line about a woman running the country. This is take straight as a joke. The men seem to have an "As if" Attitude. it just goes to show the inferior attitude there was with women. This is also scene with the "flashing her knickers" remark. All of the men laugh at this joke and even the woman does which could either show that she finds it funny too, or likes the attention, but I think that it means she is used to it so doesn't react to the joke about her.
The way Men are shown in the extract are as if they are the role models for the women, that they have the power. It seems that the White men also seem to have some kind of power over the coloured which is shown in the first part with the characters shown, eg policeman.
